Extreme Purification

I’m currently sitting in front of a Debian system installed on a remote server. What the hell has a printer system to do on an internet server? And why are there so many useless packages installed in gerneal? I wonder if the person, who set up the image for this system, ever heard of the Less is more! philosophy. Over 200 Debian packages on an empty box are really too much. I don’t want to talk about fingerd and other useless services, that ran on this box, when I took over root rights for it. It makes me somehow feel … well … inscure. Argh.
